Limited Warranty
- OTML Inc. warrants to the purchaser of OTML Inc. products (the “Products”) from an OTML Inc. authorized agent that, for a period of 12 months after the date of the initial purchase of the Products (the “Warranty Period”), the Products will be free from significant defects in workmanship and material (the “Warranty”). The Warranty does not apply to any Products:
a) subjected to abuse, accident, misuse, neglect, improper installation, improper testing, improper installation, improper storage, improper handling, abnormal physical stress, or abnormal environmental conditions;
b) used contrary to any instructions provided by OTML Inc., including but not limited to the Safety Instructions below and the Installation Manual, or used contrary to the Products’ intended use;
c) damaged by testing, under or over tightening connections, fire, lightning, earthquake, problems with electrical power or other hazard of any kind;
d) reconstructed, repaired or altered by any person other than OTML Inc. or its authorized agent;
e) used with any hardware or products not previously approved in writing by OTML Inc.; or
for which OTML INC. has not received full payment. - If, during the Warranty Period, any Products purchased from an OTML Inc. authorized agent do not conform with the Warranty (the “Defective Product”), the purchaser’s sole remedy will be, at OTML Inc.’s option, the repair or replacement of such Defective Product. Subject to section 2, the Warranty will apply for a period of 90 days after the delivery of any repaired Defective Product or Replacement Product (irrespective of any earlier expiration of the Warranty Period). If OTML Inc. elects to replace a Defective Product, then:
a) the replaced Defective Product (the “Replacement Product”) will be a new or refurbished OTML Inc. product of equivalent or better specifications relative to the Defective Product;
b) the Replacement Product may not be of identical design or model as the Defective Product; and
c) the Defective Product becomes the property of OTML Inc. - With respect to any Defective Products:
a) The purchaser will notify the OTML Inc. authorized agent who sold the purchaser the Products, in writing, of any alleged claim or defect, request a Return Material Authorization Number (“RMA#”) and provide a proof of purchase in the form of a dated invoice by the earlier of: (i) the expiration of the applicable Warranty Period or (ii) 30 days from the date the purchaser discovers such alleged claim or defect.
b) Once an RMA# is issued to the purchaser, then the purchaser will package the alleged Defective Product securely in the original or other suitable shipping package to ensure that it will not be damaged in transit with the RMA# visible on the outside of the package and a copy of the RMA# included inside the package.
c) The purchaser is solely responsible for mailing or otherwise shipping the alleged Defective Product to OTML Inc. and all costs of mailing, shipping and/or insurance are to be prepaid by the purchaser.
d) Any alleged Defective Product returned to OTML Inc. without an approved RMA# visible on the package will be rejected and shipped back to the purchaser by OTML Inc. at the purchaser’s sole cost and expense. OTML Inc. reserves the right, if deemed necessary, to charge the purchaser a reasonable levy for costs incurred in addition to mailing or shipping costs. - Except for the express warranty set out in Section 1 above, OTML Inc. makes no warranty whatsoever with respect to the Products, including any (a) warranty or condition of title or merchantability, (b) any warranty or condition of as to the quality or fitness for any particular purpose, or (c) warranty against infringement of intellectual property rights of a third party, whether expressed or implied, and whether arising by law, course of dealing, usage of trade or otherwise.
- Purchaser acknowledges it has not relied upon any representation, condition or warranty made by OTML Inc. or any other person on OTML Inc.’s behalf, except as specifically provided in Section 1. OTML Inc. neither assumes nor authorizes any other person to assume for it any other liability in connection with the sale, installation maintenance or use of the Products.

Limitation of Liability
DLX panels (the “Panels”) are intended to be used as hydronic and domestic water metering panels. The integrated Hazgar leak mitigation system (“Hazgar”) is intended be used to detect and reduce the risk of water damage from areas where sensors are located. OTML INC. makes no claim that any Products, including the DLX panels or Hazgar, prevent water damage.
In no event will OTML Inc. be liable for any damages whatsoever, including loss of data, loss of revenue, loss of goodwill, loss of profits, costs of coverage or other incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, indirect, or punitive damages, whether arising out of the installation, maintenance, commissioning, audit, performance, failure or interruption of any Products, or connected products, or whether arising out of breach of contract, tort (including negligence), any other theory of liability, or otherwise. This limitation of liability will apply regardless of whether OTML Inc. was advised of the possibility of such damages or whether such damages were foreseeable. In no event will OTML Inc.’s aggregate liability arising out of or under this Limited Warranty, whether arising out of breach of contract, tort (including negligence) or otherwise, exceed the total amount paid to OTML Inc. for the Products.
Safety Instructions - The Panels tamper resistant security seals must not be damaged or removed.
- Any modifications or changes to the Panels must be approved by OTML INC. prior to any changes being made.
- The Panels are only approved for use in residential building installations.
- The Panels’ hydronic section is only suitable for hydronic water.
- The Panels’ domestic water section is only suitable for domestic drinking water installations which comply with NSF/ANSI 61-2020: Drinking Water System Components – Health Effects
- Applicable local electrical, plumbing, laws, regulations, guidelines, and best practices must be followed.
- The operating conditions on each Panels’ UL listing sticker (i.e. nameplate) must be met. Failure to comply can cause dangerous situations resulting in the Panels and Hazgar not being able to operate correctly or at all. This voids all claims arising from liability for defects, liability for any and all damage, as well as liability on the basis of any expressly granted warranty.
- Sealing washers must be installed correctly per washer and valve manufacturer for proper seal.
- Only persons trained and experienced in the installation and operation of hydronic panels and water meters in heating/cooling systems and authorized by OTML Inc. may install and remove the Panels or their components.
- Panels must only be installed vertically as shown in drawings and indicated on This Side Up sticker.
- Panels must be installed and repaired in an unpressurized environment.
- After installing the Panels, the Panels and their components must be checked for leaks.
- The Panels must not be energized until they are fully assembled. Otherwise, there is a risk of electric shock on the terminals.
- Panels must be installed a minimum 20’ away from high voltage cables 600V+ or high electric and magnetic field sources like power transformers.
- Panels must not be installed near sensitive electrical, data, or communication equipment.
- Defective Panels or Panels with material damage must be disconnected from the power and water supply immediately.
- Teflon tape or thread sealant paste must not be used on union connections.
- Pipes containing water should be protected from frost.
- Relative humidity of 20-93% at 25 °C (non-condensing) must not be exceeded.
- The Panels must only be cleaned from the outside with a dry soft cloth. Do not allow any water or other liquid into the Panels. Do not use any abrasive cleansing agents on the Panels.
